i spent a week in brussels working on an art exhibition and i thought it was absolutley amazing, so beautiful. and after seeing in bruges (maybe a somewhat random film choice that i ended up actually enjoying) i really want to go there, the whole city seems like such a dreamscape.
I love Brussels - spent many a summer there as a child/teenager and was always annoyed that English people are generally derogatory about Belgium, when they've probably never been there. Chips and mayonnaise, a crazy secret bar called Le Sud (probably not there anymore) and amazing modernist houses are what I remember most fondly. Love the way you've done your layout!
We spoke about Belgium on the phone already but I wanted to say: this layout is kickass!! Are you going to start making all your posts this way? I hope so, this is SO nice. x
I agree that Belgium is underrated but maybe it's good as there are less tourists. I love Belgium - Brussels, Antwerp and other towns. There's no anticipation, so, there are only pleasant surprises. I'm going to Brussels in the end of the month, I'm counting days!

I think Brussels' beauty is less... apparent that, for example, Bruges'. But I'm glad you still were enamoured with our capital. Please don't hesitate to return soon! I live in Leuven, which is a city not even remotely as exciting as Brussels, but I plan on studying in Antwerp next year. I can't wait to indulge myself in the stimulating and creative atmosphere there!

It is a very nice city, but it's not that easy to find out... You have to do some effort to discover and to like this wonderful city.
