G-Star and Quincy Jones

Collaborations between blogs and brands is no longer a pioneering concept but it remains one that I frequently avoid because I do not want to fall into a cycle of opportunistic and insincere opportunities. There’s simply no excuse for weakly surrendering. I’m increasingly uncomfortable with the determined and sometimes forceful techniques of PR companies. I’m not going to write about brands and people I’m not interested in. Honestly, what would be the point? Blogging for me is about freedom and individualism. Occasionally I’ll be asked to participate in an adventure with a difference and I won’t be able to resist (but it's only happened once so far). So when G-Star contacted me to ask if I would like to “demonstrate” my vision of their clothes through pictures it was like fatal attraction and I had to say yes. There were no requirements, no marketing bullying and nothing was out of bounds. And when I received a copy of G-Star’s Raw magazine a couple of weeks ago I was reminded that sometimes it’s really good fun being a blogger.

Here are some of the pictures. Tomorrow I will show you a small video of the magazine.

A huge thank you to the truly wonderful Caroline Issa from Tank and to the extremely efficient Eva Kinsberger from G-Star.

First picture: Burberry mac, Burberry wedge ankle booties, vintage Prince tee-shirt and G-Star jeans. Second picture: Acne shirt, G-Star jeans and Burberry booties. Third picture: G-Star jacket and G-Star scarf worn as a headband.

Last picture: Quincy Jones the cat

adorable! i resist the urge to be a crass american and say nothing out of bounds except they asked you to get your ...... out. And by that they meant your cat.

XOXO glad you are blogging more frequently lately

You're a girl who goes around with chipped nail polish too! Love your interaction with Quincy. And the scarf worn as a headband. Somehow Quincy looks like he's grown?
